01 ELEMENTS --- These are the four elements used by western alchemists. In the picture, the water comes from the earth and changes to fire while smoke rises from the fire. (Smoke was the only way I thought to picture air.) The smoke (air) then settles and becomes earth again, a complete cycle.
02 CHANCE --- A better title for this might be "CHANCE?" since this painting is really asking questions. Is there a god who throws the dice? Is it really chance? Notice the spots on the dice.
03 ORDER --- This displays the idea that the universe is only vibrations of different frequencies (string theory).
04 CONTINUOUS ORIGINS --- A new galaxy is forming between existing galaxies, according to Kapp. The gas and some stars are falling towards the center. In the center is an egg symbolizing birth. Around that is a Klien bottle symbolizing space curving. To describe the bottle, we have to get into topology, an offspring of geometry and the study of surfaces. In topology, we can do some fun things such as create a piece of paper with only one side, a Moebius strip. Just follow the directions below.
