VARIATIONS --- A kind of evolution. The music is from my Variations on the Human Spirit. While I was writing it, some wasps landed on the end of my pen and rode there as I continued. I didn't bother them, and they didn't bother me. This painting tells a flight of fancy: notes to ants to eggs to wasps to spaceships. It suggests that aliens are here, and they are so tiny that their spaceships are the insects we see flying around. When hydraulic fluid leaks out of the landing gear of the ship, the supports curl up causing the vehicle to roll over on its top. That's how we sometimes find them on the kitchen floor, completely abandoned by the crew.

REALITY --- Where does reality begin? The old man in the white T-shirt is supposed to be Picasso. That's why the style changes as he works on the painting he calls "Alternate Reality."

ALTERNATE REALITY --- The painting Picasso was doing now becomes the dominant form of reality. The artist with the blue face is me in Picasso's style. I'm changing the style back in the painting called "Reality." Between these two pictures, reality becomes an infinite loop, impossible to tell where it all began.

STONEHENGE --- Perhaps aliens guided the building of Stonehenge as a reflection of their own ship.

SPACESHIP --- It's only a cloud of hydrogen behind a planetary system.

CRUCIBLE --- A suffering planet.

ENOUGH --- The cross, invented by the Romans, was one of the most painful ways to kill someone. Here, a suffering humanity can be seen in the grain of the wood, although it's not clear in this reduced image.

SEAGULLS AND MOONSCAPE --- Peace.
