We can't repeat an experiment, and we can only observe (as we do with the visible and invisible universe). If we are going to learn faster about the ones further along, it's their move.

If higher beings move along the path of evolution, an infinite universe might produce a highest being.

THE THEORY OF MORE THAN EVERYTHING

To summarize: The universe is natural evolution through trial and error. Efficient energy use determines the path of this evolution, and the flow of evolution is incredibly smooth. For instance, it's hard to say when life begins. Therefore, we can only make a rough outline for universal evolution:

  1. "Nothing" to something. Something that's practically nothing, but distance gets created at least, and later, potential energy.
  2. Something to matter as we know it. Protons, etc, and more forms of energy.
  3. Matter to form. Quasars, galaxies, stars, planets, and all sorts of physical energy.
  4. Form to life. Independent movement, another kind of energy.
  5. Life to life with consciousness, then self consciousness. Us.
  6. Self consciousness to spirit. Less physical, more energy form in higher beings.
  7. Spirit to god?

The surprising conclusion implied in this theory might have an impact on most of Earth's belief systems.

Religions have put God at the beginning of evolution. However, perhaps a certain Biblical line can be reversed to read: And the light said, "Let there be God."
